Hello my name is Jackson Audretsch and I am going to share my Halloween experience. My family and I went to a cider mill in St. john's and got pumpkins. The cider mill was called Uncle John’s Cider. Once we were there we ate caramel apples. Then at eight o’clock we went trick or treating. That is where you go to people's house and get candy.That was my experience.

I am writing about the all American Quarter Horse. The congress lasts the whole month of October. You can only have the breed Quarter Horse to show at this show. It is one of the biggest horse shows in the world. It is in the Ohio and thousands of talented horses and people show there.

Where I live we celebrate Halloween and this year a group of my friends and I, ran around my neighborhood getting candy from all of my neighbors. We dressed up in fun costumes, this year we dressed up as fruit, and we grab our bags and said “Trick or treat” at every door step. After we go to all the houses we go back and sort all of our candy. Happy Halloween!

The first ever college basketball game with five players on each side was played on this day, january 18, 1896, when the University of Iowa invited student athletes from the new University of Chicago for an experimental game.There are some facts that are indisputable when it comes the history of college basketball, like how James Naismith invented the game in 1896 and the first basketball game was played at a YMCA that same year.The 1939 NCAA Basketball Tournament(the first one) involved 8 schools playing in single elimination tournament to determine the NCAA men's division 1 basketball championship.The Oregon Ducks won the first NCAA Basketball Tournament.

Halloween Costume

For halloween I did a costume with one of my friends. Our costume idea was to act like we were Frat Boys. We had two props which were a little football that she carried around and I carried a sign.

At a packed outdoor music festival in Las Vegas at about 10:00 p.m. local time, the music turned into loud gunshots and started the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. The gunshots were heard, seen, and fired at the people of the concert. Those gunshots killed 59 people and injured 530. These fired on and off for 9-11 minutes while the suspect was shooting from 32nd floor of  the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. After these shots fired to the people of the music festival, the shots were fired into the suspects head by himself and killed him. This man was 64 years-old and his name was Stephen Paddock.

I spend my time at horse competitions EVERY weekend! I take lessons once a week to get ready for these competitions, but i go to the barn just about everyday just to see them or ride on my own. I keep my horses at a boarding facility where the person that owns the facility takes care of them, like she feeds them, cleans their stalls, and exercises them. She does many other things, but those are just a few. I’ve ridden horses since i was 8 and now i have 2 of my own horses, their names are Beau and Skip.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving day is on November 23. Thanksgiving will be on Thursday for the United States of America. Thanksgiving is where you celebrate the first harvest that the pilgrims did. They did their first harvest in October 1621. Most people celebrate this holiday. My family does, we make a big turkey, we have gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, mixed vegetables, etc. We have a big dinner, we also invite our friends over to eat with us. This is a picture I found online of a Thanksgiving dinner. This is not my family’s dinner.

Rachael Steffens is in the 12th grade at Laingsburg High School. Autumn Michaels is a blind 9th grader at Laingsburg High School. Although she can’t see, Autumn still wanted to march the halftime show with the band. Rachael is in the drumline, but gave up marching the show to walk Autumn.

Black Veil Brides is an American band led by lead singer Andy Biersack.  Some people call Andy an angel, others well don’t say a thing. Some of the most famous songs by BVB ( Black Veil Brides) are, goodbye agony, In The End, and Fallen Angels. These song’s are probably some of the best songs by this band. Halloween!!

                                                          

   Halloween is a time to go out at night, with an awesome costume and a little bucket! You can wear your favorite character, and get lots of candy! Usually...but other than that, it’s still really fun! You can guess your friend’s character, or they can guess yours. Also, carving pumpkins are really fun, too! Unless you don’t like the smell of an open pumpkin. But making shapes, and pictures are usually the best! Some pumpkins look like this mainly that’s what they look like. (I tried to move the picture somewhere else, but it won’t move…) Halloween is my favorite holiday! It’s scary(kinda)and fun! Trying to scare people, sometimes works. Like I’m going to be my favorite YouTuber’s alter ego, Antiseptic Eye! He’s scary if it’s your first time watching. Like his appearance in ‘Say Goodbye’. I’m extremely attached to him now...OK! Enough blabbering of YouTube and stuff! Halloween started with the Celtic festival, Samhain. They thought the border between spirits, and humans was very thin, so they decided to dress up as spirits or ghosts. People of all ages can do this. It gives them a chance to be their favorite character, and dress up as them. Well this was my “explanation” on Halloween! Hope you enjoyed!

ANNABELLE :CREATION

This is probably the scariest movie of 2017. Annabelle is a doll and she is very creepy.

So this is kinda the plot of the movie

In 1943, dollmaker Samuel Mullins and his wife Esther grieve for the loss of their seven-year-old daughter Annabelle, "Bee", who died after she was run over by a passing car. An unknown entity, which the couple believes to be their daughter's spirit, convinces them to transfer its essence into one of Samuel's crafted porcelain dolls. Their elation soon turns to anguish when the Mullins realize they have attracted a demon looking for a human host. They take the doll to Bee's room and lock it in a closet wallpapered with pages from the Bible before hiring priests to bless both the room and the house.

Twelve years later, in 1955, the Mullins open their home to provide shelter for Sister Charlotte and six girls left homeless by the closing of their orphanage. Despite having been told not to enter Bee's locked bedroom, Janice, a young orphan crippled by polio, is awakened by a noise, discovers a note saying "find me", and sneaks into the room, which has mysteriously become unlocked. She finds a key for Bee's closet and unlocks it, unwittingly releasing the demon, who begins to terrorize the girls, displaying a special interest in Janice.

On the second night, the demon continues to torment Janice, revealing its true form and declaring that it wants "her soul". Although she attempts to get away using a stairlift, she is left severely injured when caught by the demon and thrown from the second floor landing to the first floor. The next day, Janice—now confined to a wheelchair—is dragged into a shed. The demon, taking Bee's form, successfully possesses her. One of the other orphans, Janice's best friend Linda, notices changes in her behavior and admits to Samuel that Janice had snuck into Bee's room and found the doll two nights earlier. Shortly after Linda's revelation, the demon murders Samuel.

Sister Charlotte speaks with the disfigured Esther, who is confined to her bedroom, having had her left eye gouged out by the demon during their initial encounter twelve years earlier. Esther confesses to the nun the truth behind the doll and the hauntings within their home. Sister Charlotte grows increasingly alarmed that the demon will further victimize the girls.

The demon kills Esther and, having now killed both the Mullins, attacks Sister Charlotte as she attempts to get the girls out of the house. The possessed Janice continues her pursuit of Linda, who hides in Bee's room. Sister Charlotte arrives to stop Janice and locks the girl and the doll in the closet. The next day, police arrive to search the house and its surroundings and find only the doll inside the bedroom closet, which they remove as Santa Monica. Still possessed by a demon, she now goes by the name "Annabelle" and is adopted by the Higgins family.

Twelve years later, in 1967, Annabelle forms a satanic cult, with her boyfriend. One night, they murder her adoptive parents in their bedroom, which catches the attention of their next door neighbors, the Forms, as a pregnant Mia Form is awakened by the screams and her husband John goes to investigate.

In a post-credits scene, set in Romania in 1952, Valak, the Demon nun, walks towards the camera in the candle-lit halls of the Carta Monastery, as each candle slowly goes out, teasing the events of The Nun.

Friday, September 29th 2017 my broadcast class went on a field trip. Broadcast is a class that you learn how to make videos and edit videos. We even do weekly videos. For our field trip we went to a college called Central Michigan University. During the field trip we learned how to market our videos via social media like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.We also learned how to put together a yearbook. All together it was a good learning experience. Except the part where I ate 5 cookies. Bad decision don’t do it.

     Halloween is when kids go house to house and ask for candy. Usually they will say “Trick or Treat!”.  Adults can also dress up along with their kid. You can dress up as an animal, a movie character, a monster, or anything in general such as a crayon. Options are endless. Other things that people do for Halloween include carving pumpkins, watching scary movies, or eating donuts and drinking apple cider. Carved pumpkins might be a way to decorate somebody’s porch or front lawn. You will see a lot of decorations for this fun celebration. Halloween is a fun way to be creative and have some fun!

Homecoming

Homecoming is where there is a big American football game and before the game there is a HUGE parade.  Then also before the game people go tailgating which is where they meet together in a group and eat chips, dips, grilled hotdog and hamburgers, and many other american foods. Then during the homecoming game at halftime they announce who wins homecoming king and queen.

The homecoming king and queen are the people (a boy and a girl) that the high schoolers vote for to win. So at halftime they announced the big winner, everyone was so eager to know who the winner was and it was Jonathan Schlaack for king and Sophie Strieff for queen I was so excited also to mention so Sophie is my sister, that is not even the most perfect part of the night our home football team won the game!!! It was a perfect night!

Hello my name Jackson A., and a few weeks ago it was Military day at Laingsburg MI. For the celebration, a Black Hawk helicopter flew over the Wolfpack football stadium and onto our practice field. It was Friday at 6:30, and the Wolfpack varsity football game started at 7:00. As the helicopter landed everyone flew off their feet.

On August 2nd me and my friend Ashley Sanderlin went to a “we love the 90’s concert’ which included bands and rap groups like all 4 one, C&C factory, and TLC. We really went there to see TLC though. If you were on the blog last year you might remember me saying I was going to this concert. This concert was the best day of my entire 13 year old life. I touched one of the members of TLC’s hands. One of the members sadly passed away 15 years ago but she was there in spirit . I got a t-shirt and I got a hat that said CrazySexyCool. The band is my favorite one of all time and I couldn’t asked for anything better in life.

This movie is about a creature from out of this universe that takes the form of people’s worst fears. This monster mainly attacks children and takes the form of a clown to scare them to death. This movie is a recreation of the movie “IT” 1990

IT is a supernatural horror film directed by Andy Muschietti based on the old novel by Stephen King. This is the story of seven children in Derry, Maine. These children are terrorized by the eponymous being, only to face their own personal demons in the process.

Halloween

Halloween is on October 31st. Every Halloween, kids and their parents dress up in a costume. Costumes can be scary, funny, you can be a disney prince or princess, a monster, an animal. Options are endless. Kids go to houses that have their porch light on and knock on their door and say “Trick-or-treat!” After you say trick or treat, you will earn a piece of candy. You might even see carved pumpkins on people’s front porch!

When you are all done with trick-or-treating, you can eat all your candy, you can watch scary movies, or you can help your parent or the person who is passing out the candy. Halloween is a great way to be fun and creative.

Most colleges have a football team.Football is by far the most popular sport in America.Every year at the end of the football season there is a playoff.For the teams that aren't good enough for the playoffs can still make it into one of the many bowl games.There are different divisions for the size of the school's  football          program,the divisions are named, division 1, division 2, and division 3 schools.

DEN DEFENDERS YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE!!!!

The Den Defenders is a youth (American) football league. I play football for this league and it is really fun but we aren't doing too well we haven’t won a game so ya we really bad.

Our record is 0-3. 0 wins and 3 loses isn’t very good but I am a seventh grader and we have about 19 seventh graders on our team. There are 13 or 14 eighth graders and we are playing all eighth grade teams. The kids look 18 year olds. So ya that is a little on my football league I how you enjoyed will talk to you later.

Players in the NFL Kneeling During the National Anthem

Players in the National Football League, American football that is, are kneeling, not putting their hand on their heart, locking arms, or just not coming out of the locker rooms during our National Anthem. They're kneeling because they are protesting. It initially started when Colin Kaepernick(an NFL quarterback) started kneeling during the National Anthem in 2016 because he thought people  of different color were being targeted and treated differently than white people by police officers. Others joined him. Lately though, lots of players have joined him because of a comment Donald Trump made, he said that all professional athletes who kneel during the National Anthem are disrespecting the flag and should be fired right now. This is still unfolding right now, we will see how it turns out.

My favorite sport is volleyball. There are 2 teams that have 6 players on each team and you have 3 hits to get the volleyball over the net, and have it land on the floor. Every time the ball lands on the floor on the opposite side of the net, you get a point.

                      Future Farmers of America

F.F.A. is a program that kids can learn how to raise animals, and much more. The president of the Laingsburg High school chapter is, Reanna Brynns. The Laingsburg Middle School had their first meeting on September 27, 2017. There was around 50 kids there. They had cookies and cider at the meeting.(This is the Laingsburg F.F.A. going to their 1st. F.F.A. chapter meet of the season.)
