Over two weeks was Halloween. I don’t know if in France you celebrate Halloween but here in the US kids dress up in costumes and go trick-or-treating. This year, instead, I went to a Halloween party at Autumn’s house. It was so much fun! We had a murder mystery game in which whoever drew the joker card was the murderer. It turned out to be Autumn’s dad! I came in 5th, “dying” when Autumn’s dad introduced himself to me. We told spooky stories by the fire about clowns which scared a lot of people. We split up into teams to go around the neighborhood on a scavenger hunt. We ate food, played “sardines” (a different version of hide-and-seek), and had a lot of fun.

        Trump vs Hillary

          Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have been battling neck and neck for the top job in the United States. For months these two were arguing for months and months on end. After months of the two trying to woo the country, on Tuesday, however it came to an end. Tuesday was the deadline for voting and the polls closed at 9:00. People waited in line for hours to get their vote in. Then on late Tuesday night and early the next morning the winner was announced. Donald Trump had won with electoral votes but Hillary Clinton won with the popular vote. But in the end it was the electoral vote that caused Trump to win. Even days after Donald was announced, riots are finding their way down main streets shouting things like “Not my president.” Trump is concerned about a divided country.   

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is coming up here in Michigan. It is a time when

family and friends come together to have fun. But how did it all start? It all started one November day in 1620 in Plymouth. Where Pilgrims and Native Americans met to eat a lovely meal. How do we celebrate Thanksgiving? We celebrate by cooking big meals that include turkey, mashed potatoes, pie, bread and rolls. But, that is only a few foods that we eat. Then, we will invite family and friends over to enjoy the meal together. We talk, laugh and have a good time together. That is the true

meaning of Thanksgiving.
