                 Flint Water Crisis

Protesters in Flint,MI, are complaining about high levels of lead in the water. When the city switched from Detroit water to water from the Flint River they started to see changes in the water. The discoloration comes from sewage leaking. Lead is the major problem. You cannot see smell or taste lead in water. It comes from old lead pipes used to move the corrosive water. Lead leads to mental problems in children, but you cannot tell until they are adults. This makes Flint residents upset. People are hoping the Michigan governor resigns. President Barack Obama has called for a state of emergency in Flint, giving $170 million to Flint for bottled water and lead testing in children.

  2. The Flint Water Crisis has been talked about on the news here for the last few weeks. I agree Saige this has been a serious issue. The Governor knew about the crisis before it was on the news and he didn't do anything until last week.
