The government thinks that once the IPhone is unlocked it will have loads of information on the December 2nd terrorists attack, which was the deadliest terrorist attack since 9/11. Many people are worried that once this IPhone is hacked the privacy of everyone else that owns an IPhone will be violated. People think that they need to decide as a nation how much power the government should have over their data and privacy. The government argues that Apple is not above the law and the company should just do what they are told. Both points have positives and negatives, for Apple the negative is everyone loses their privacy, the positives are they could get a lot of information on the terrorist. For the government they gain information, but they could cause Apple to lose thousands because of the loss of privacy.
